Leila Talhouk, Ph.D.

Background
Dr. Talhouk is a licensed psychologist and provides telehealth services and in-person services in New York. She specializes in treating addiction and impulse control issues and has extensive experience treating struggles related to emotion regulation, self-esteem, identity, and interpersonal relationships. She also has a particular interest in working with issues related to life transitions, immigration, and otherness. Dr. Talhouk provides psychodynamic therapy that is relational, trauma-informed, and attentive to the influences of culture and identity. She completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the City College of New York, CUNY, and her postdoctoral training at Mount Sinai West. She has trained at institutions in New York and Lebanon across a range of clinical settings, including hospitals, community clinics, counseling centers, and organizations serving refugees. Dr. Talhouk offers short and long-term treatment in English and Arabic.
