Background

Dr. Mastropaolo is a licensed psychologist and provides telehealth and in-person services in Manhattan. She specializes in treating personality and attachment-related issues including struggles in interpersonal and romantic relationships, difficulties in regulating mood and affect, and struggles with identity and self-concept. In addition, she has extensive experience in serving the LGBTQIA+ community, young adult populations, and those managing difficult life transitions. She provides psychodynamic, attachment-oriented, and trauma-informed treatment. Dr. Mastropaolo completed her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Seton Hall University and postdoctoral training at Mount Sinai West. She has trained at various institutions in NYC including NY- Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Montefiore Hospital and the Center for Intensive Treatment of Personality Disorders (CITPD) at Mount Sinai Hospital/Ichan School of Medicine. Dr. Mastropaolo provides in-person and virtual individual therapy and in-person interpersonal process group therapy. She also offers supervision and consultation, particularly for colleagues seeking support in the treatment of personality disorders. In addition to her position at NY Attachment Collective, she teaches and supervises training psychologists and psychiatrists at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
